Chris graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in dentistry, he then went on to the Orthodontic Specialist training program at Leeds University. Chris is recognised by the GDC as an Orthodontic Specialist.
Chris ventured North from his native Liverpool to graduate as a dentist from Newcastle University before commencing additional Vocational Training in the North-East of England. Following a year in general practice, he then spent a year as a hospital resident Senior House Officer in Maxillo-Facial Surgery in the West Midlands.
He then took time out to travel around the world before returning fully refreshed to the North-East to complete the two and a half year Newcastle Dental Hospital Senior House Officer Rotation. This provided further training in all hospital specialities including Restorative Dentistry, Children’s Dentistry and Orthodontics, Oral and Maxilla-Facial Surgery, Oral Medicine and Sedation. During this period Chris completed his Membership examination at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Chris was then accepted onto the 3 year full time Orthodontic Specialist training program at Leeds Dental Hospital and completed a concurrent Masters degree in Orthodontics. Chris’ clinical practice has been solely Orthodontics for 13 years and he is currently a Specialist Orthodontist in South Tyneside seeing referrals across the region.
Chris is recognised by the General Dental Council as a specialist in Orthodontics. He uses all forms of fixed and removable braces to ensure that each patient has the system best suited to their clinical situation and lifestyle. Chris’ area of special interest is digital treatment planning and Invisalign.
